1. General information
The content on this website is provided for general information only. It describes my background, my approach and the services I offer. It is not professional advice for your particular situation, and reading it does not create a counselling, tutoring or any other professional relationship between us.
I take care to keep the information here accurate and up to date, but I make no guarantee that it is complete, current or free of errors. Please contact me directly before relying on anything on this site.
2. Not an emergency or crisis service
My counselling service is not a crisis, emergency or 24-hour service. I may not see or reply to WhatsApp messages, calls or emails straight away. Please do not use these to report an emergency. If you are at risk, use the emergency numbers in the box above.
3. Counselling
I am a trained counsellor with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of South Australia. I am not a medical doctor, psychiatrist or clinical psychologist. My counselling does not include medical diagnosis, prescribing medication or treating serious mental illness.
Counselling is a supportive, talk-based process. It can help many people, but results differ from person to person and I cannot promise any particular outcome. If I believe your needs would be better met by a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist or another specialist, I will tell you and help you find the right support.
Counselling is not a replacement for medical care. If you are currently seeing a doctor or taking medication, please continue to follow their advice, and do not stop or change any treatment because of our sessions.
4. Confidentiality and its limits
What you share with me in counselling is kept confidential. There are a few situations where I may need to share information, as far as is reasonably necessary, without your consent:
- If I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else
- If I have reason to believe a child or vulnerable adult is being abused or neglected
- If I am required to do so by law or by a court order
Wherever possible and safe, I will talk with you first before sharing anything. I may also discuss cases with a professional supervisor to keep my practice safe and of good quality. When I do, I will not reveal your identity.
5. Clients under 18
For students and young people under 18, I will need the consent of a parent or guardian before regular counselling or tuition begins. You can download the consent form below, fill it in on your device or print it, and send it to me by WhatsApp or email. In counselling, I respect a young person's privacy, and I will not pass on the details of our conversations to parents unless there is a safety concern or the young person agrees.
6. English tuition
I offer English Language and General Paper tuition for Secondary and Junior College students. I will always do my best to help each student improve, but every student is different. Exam results depend on many things, including the student's effort, practice, attendance and the exam itself, so I cannot guarantee any particular grade or result.
My tuition is independent. I am not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Ministry of Education, the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board, or any school.

7. Online sessions
All my sessions are held online by video call. Online sessions depend on technology that I do not fully control, such as internet connections and third-party video and messaging apps. While I take reasonable steps to protect your privacy, I cannot guarantee that these services will always be uninterrupted or completely secure.
For counselling, please join from a private, quiet space where you won't be overheard, and let me know if your connection drops so we can reconnect or reschedule.
8. Testimonials
The testimonials on this website are real comments from former students, parents and people I have worked with, shared with their permission. They reflect personal experiences and are not a promise or guarantee that you will have the same results.

They do not mean that these organisations currently endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with my private services. All logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. I am not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of any external website.

11. Your personal data
When you contact me by WhatsApp, phone or email, I will receive personal information such as your name and contact details. I will only use this to reply to you and to arrange and provide my services. I will not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
